Swedish pension investors stick with troubled real estate giant

Pension firm Folksam considers its major Heimstaden investment to be long-term. The biggest institutional investor in the real estate company, Alecta, is not commenting on the Q2 results.

The troubled Swedish-Norwegian real estate giant, Heimstaden, has once again written down the value of its investment properties in this year’s second quarter, bringing the total loss in 2023 to almost SEK 20.9bn (EUR 1.8bn), Q2 figures reveal.
