Aberdeen Standard Investments: More room for alternative risk premia growth

Alternative Risk Premia was a niche product only a few years ago, yet the strategy has since gained ground to become a top financial buzz word. Nordic investors may have been early adopters of ARP strategies, but Aberdeen Standard Investments sees more room for growth in the region's ARP market.

An increasing need by investors to diversify away from traditional risk premia has pushed Alternative Risk Premia (ARP) strategies into the spotlight. Aberdeen Standard Investments has been offering ARP products and services for the past three years, and the firm now has USD 775 million in total ARP assets under management, including USD 600 million under advice.

”We are working on building a track record, and so far the uptake has been strong and we have seen an awful lot of clients in just the last year or so. So it has worked out well,” says Senior Investment Manager Duncan Moir from Aberdeen Standard Investments to AMWatch.
