Only a few weeks ago, Jesper Kirstein was driving along California's Highway 1 in a red convertible, his significant other by his side -- as part of a trip planned so he could attend The Milken Conference.
"It was crazy. As a matter of course Tony Blair shows up, the president of the World Bank or Paul Ryan or the president of Rwanda. You name it. It's such an important event," says Kirstein, telling me the story as we take our seats in his firm's central Copenhagen conference room.
