Nordea's raided 'Stars-team" to launch London-based EM fund

London-based fund manager has hired most of the emerging markets equity team that quit Nordea Asset Management in March, including lead portfolio manager Jorry Rask Nøddekær. The "ex stars" are set for new fund launch abroad.

In March, Nordea Asset Management lost most of its Emerging Stars-team. Back then, sources told AMWatch that the team was set to join a London-based independent asset manager. This has now been confirmed.

The Ex-Nordea team, consisting of Jorry Rask Nøddekær, Michael Wang, Peter Andersen and Jerry Wu, have all moved to the London-based asset manager Polar Capital. Polar Capital has approxametaly EUR 12 billion in assets under management, mostly for U.K-based investors.
