Maj Invest bolsters Danish equity team by poaching rival's fund manager

The Copenhagen-based asset manager is hiring a new fund manager to strengthen its Danish equity fund. The incoming portfolio manager has a decade's experience under his belt picking Danish stocks at SEB Asset Management and will share investment responsibility with the fund's current lead portfolio manager.

Denmark's EUR 8 billion money manager Maj Invest has poached senior portfolio manager Karsten Søndermølle from bank-owned asset manager Bankinvest.

Søndermølle's arrival will boost Maj Invest's Danish equity portfolio team, which currently consists of Chief Portfolio Manager Keld Henriksen and Senior Portfolio Manager Peter Stenholt. Søndermølle is to co-lead the portfolio alongside Henriksen.
