Third of Varma’s commercial properties have won Breeam certification
Helsinki-based Varma has gained Breeam (Building Research Establishment's Environmental Assessment Method) certification for a third of its commercial properties, measured in terms of the value of the holdings.

According to Johanna Haikala, senior analyst at Varma, the mutual pension insurance company is determined to cut down its carbon footprint of properties by 20 percent by 2025 from the level of 2015. Over the last three years Varma has managed to reduce its carbon footprint by 17 percent.
