Capital Four: Nordic direct lending picking up pace as funds are growing

Lending money to small-midsized Nordic companies has not been the preferred way to generate return over the past five years. But now Nordic direct lending is gathering steam, and investors are doing more than window shopping, says Danish credit asset management boutique Capital Four.

Since the early days of credit asset management, boutique Capital Four has been present in the liquid lending market. They started out with high yield and then later adding syndicated loans to their selection of credits and also entered the direct lending market five years ago – lending money to small to medium-sized companies in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and also the Northern part of Europe.
