AUM hits NOK 521bn as KLP Kapitalforvaltning posts Q1 results

The Norwegian municipal pension provider has decided to divest from coal companies for NOK 3.2bn in the wake of its Q1 result.

KLP's equity and alternative investments portfolio, including equity derivatives, yielded an 8.9 percent return in first quarter. The global equity portfolio generated 11.3 percent, while the Norwegian equity portfolio gave a return of 8.5 percent. These assets’ relative share of the portfolio grew by 1.3 percentage points to 23.6 percent.
