World's largest asset manager boosts stewardship team amid fossil-fuel scrutiny

Blackrock expects continued team expansion as engagements tend to require considerable resources.

Blackrock has grown its stewardship team to 45 employees, up from 36 around this time last year, writes financial media IPE, citing the asset manager's latest annual report on its engagement and voting activity.

In the report, Blackrock states that it has the largest and most global team in the industry.
