Varma aims for a carbon-neutral portfolio by 2035 – excludes oil exploration by 2030

In private equity funds, the share of renewables will increase to 50 percent of electricity generation investments by 2030. In index funds, the share of low-carbon funds will increase to 35 percent by 2025

Finland’s Varma announces intentions to have a fully carbon-neutral portfolio by 2035 and to exclude oil exploration from its equity investments and by 2030. The company is also divesting thermal coal by 2025. The new goals are listed on the company’s new Climate Policy for Investments.
