After criticism from Competition Council: Danica denies overpricing asset management

The Danish Competition Council's report about the pensions system includes criticism of the commercial pension funds' use of internal asset managers. Having larger operations is a disadvantage for a number of companies, the council says. "It's completely daft," says Tænk Consumer Council. Danica rejects the criticism.

The bigger AUM, the easier it is to manage it. This intuitive correlation does not hold at the Danish pension funds, however. Generally, there are no advantages to running a larger operation in the sector, the Competition Council concluded in its report about the Danish pension system released on Friday.
