Veritas poaches new CIO from Varma
Growing geopolitical tensions can drive all markets down at the same time, warns Veritas' new chief investment officer, whose appointment enters force in March.

Veritas Pension Insurance has appointed Kari Vatanen as its new CIO. Vatanen joins Veritas on 1 March from Varma Mutual Pension Insurance, where he has been working since 2006; most recently as Head of Cross Asset Derivative Strategies and Allocation, and before that as Chief Risk Officer.
