Finnish life insurer turns to AI in new fund launch for institutional market
Mandatum Life has, alongside an AI company, developed the Managed Futures Fund, an investment fund that combines human market expertise with probabilistic modelling and reinforcement learning to forecast trends in the financial markets.
Unlike traditional quant funds that rely on static modelling and historical data sets, the new Managed Futures Fund at Mandatum Life uses an AI engine to continually update forecasts. This ensures that the portfolio manager’s investment decisions are informed by dynamic analysis, the company writes in a press statement.
