Teachers' pension fund criticized for Aramco shares
Students studying teaching think that Lærernes Pension is undermining an agreement to be a visible player in the transition to a greener society by having shares in the world's largest oil company, according to Økonomisk Ugebrev.
Mads Tudvad, future teacher and prominent member of the green student movement, says it was "irresponsible" of Lærernes Pension to invest in oil giant Saudi Aramco. This happened just two and a half months after the Danish teachers' union decided that the pension fund should play a bigger role in the transition to a greener society.
