Nordea Asset Management (NAM) has hired Sebastian Ölmqvist for a product manager role. He will start in his new job on June 2, 2020 and will be based in Copenhagen.

“I am very pleased that Sebastian is joining the Fundamental Equities team. Sebastian has developed broad investment and product experience, and he will be a great contributor as we continue to strengthen our product offering and grow the business,” says Hilde Jenssen, Head of Fundamental Equities, in a statement.

Ölmqvist will cover all markets and products. At Fundamental Equities, products are divided into three categories: ESG products such as its STARS fund range, global opportunities-portfolios including the fund Global Climate & Environment, which was among the ten sustainable funds in Europe with the highest inflow in Q1, and complementary portfolios, including a European Small and Mid Cap fund as well as a new long/short market neutral fond.

Before joining NAM, Ölmqvist was an investment manager at the European Investment Fund (EIF), managing a portfolio of private equity and venture capital funds across Europe.

At EIF, he also managed the relationships between different stakeholders including co-investors, legal counsel and internal support functions. In addition, he has extensive business development experience both from EIF and East Capital, NAM writes in a statement.

Nordea Asset Management has EUR 204 billion in AUM and has a presence in Bonn, Brussels, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Helsinki, London, Luxembourg, Madrid, Milan, New York, Oslo, Paris, Santiago de Chile, Singapore, Stockholm, Vienna and Zurich.
