Toronto-based Manulife Investment Management has registered a range of funds in the Nordics. The funds cover asset classes including equity, fixed income, liquid alternatives and emerging markets.

The funds will provide investors with access to UCITS vehicles across some of the Canadian asset managers' global strategies. The majority of the funds are available in both USD and EUR.

According to Morten Simonsen, managing director and head of distribution for Northern Europe, Manulife Investment Management is excited to offer these funds across the Nordics.

"Manulife Investment Management understands the challenges investors are facing today and their need for diverse range of investments to help mitigate risk and meet liabilities,” he says in a statement forwarded to AMWatch.

The global asset manager's president and CEO Paul Lorentz says in the statement that the entry to the Nordics is part of the firm's global growth strategy.

“In light of the current economic environment, we foresee demand for specialized active management solutions, and these strategies may give Nordic investors the ability to further differentiate with products best suited to the needs of their portfolios,” adds Todd Cassler, Head of Institutional Distribution, U.S. & Europe, in the statement.
