Active strategies in Nordic equity came out on top of the world in Q3 – but trail China YTD

Fund managers investing in Nordic equities on average generated the highest quarterly returns across the equity universes in financial data firm eVestment's database. This development was led by products from local managers like SEB and Fondsfinans Kapitalforvaltning and global player BNP Paribas Asset Management, according to eVestment Global Head of Research.

Active equity managers investing in Nordic equity came out of Q3 with the highest quarterly return on average across the equity universes in data company eVestment's database.

While the average return of all active equities strategies ended the third quarter at 7.75 percent, the 29 active products in the Nordic equity basket came out on top with an average return of 17.74 percent, closely followed by India Equity (17.61 percent), Korea Equity (17.50) and Onshore China A-Shares (16.04). All returns are in US dollar terms.
