Evli hopes new leveraged loan products will become fixture in the "Nordic financial ecosystem"

Evli's high yield bond investors had been saying for years that they were interested in leveraged loan products. The investment manager was simply waiting for the right moment to enter the market, Evli's Head of Loan Strategies Jussi Hyyppä says in an interview with AMWatch.

The Finnish asset manager Evli is preparing to launch its first leveraged loans fund in 2021. Evli's portfolio manager, who is also responsible for loan strategies, Jussi Hyyppä says that Evli's goal is to create a loan strategy with a Nordic focus, which gives investors a 'steady and predictive' annual cash yield at 4-5 percent and an annual total return at 5-6 percent in the long-term.
