Blackrock has nominated US telecom Verizon's chief executive, Hans E. Vestberg, to its board of directors. Vestberg will be included as a nominee in the asset manager's 2021 Proxy Statement and will join as an independent director after the AGM is held on May 26 if elected by shareholders, according to a company announcement.
