Alecta whets appetite for more illiquid assets after portfolio swells to double size

The Swedish pension fund has doubled its unlisted portfolio in a short space of time but now wants even more. Investments will mainly be in the range of SEK 500m as they "need to have a relevant size when measured against the portfolio".

Swedish pensions giant Alecta has an equity portfolio of SEK 420bn (EUR 41bn) and its policy states that 10 percent of the total may be invested in the unlisted space, which is precisely the area that Alecta wants to increase going forward, Swedish daily Dagens Industri writes.
