Finnish startup funding hits new record – foreign VC investments more than double

Finnish startups raised a record amount of growth funding last year. Whilst total funding nearly doubled and reached EUR 951m, investments by overseas investors accounted for 57 percent of the total, reports Finnish Venture Capital Association (FCVA).

Fundraising for domestic startups in Finland reached new records in 2020, according to fresh figures by the Finnish Venture Capital Association (FCVA).

Total funding nearly doubled and reached EUR 951m last year. Investments by overseas investors accounted for 57 percent of the total, approximately EUR 543m.
