Nordea CIO on Bitcoin: "It would be better to invest in a coal company"

With huge numbers of cryptocurrencies on the market investment opportunities are plentiful – but Nordea Investment Management's Robert Næss does not want anything to do with this energy intensive phenomenon, especially bitcoin.

"Cryptocurrencies are really a very effective way to work with money transfers and there are a lot of exciting technological possibilities, but many of the existing ones, especially bitcoin, are completely unecessary," says Nordea Investment Management CIO Robert Næss to FinansWatch.no.
