Aktia determined to win back capital that flooded out after resignations

The EUR 400m lost from Aktia's emerging markets funds was not just because of the resignations of five members of Aktia's emerging markets team. "Some investors also started thinking about which strategies work if interest rates start to rise," says CEO Mikko Ayub.

Finland's Aktia is determined to gain back the capital the emerging markets funds lost last February, after a team of three portfolio managers and two analysts resigned.

The banking group's CEO Mikko Ayub notes the outflows total some EUR 400m, most of which was outflow from Aktia's local currency frontier fund.
