Activist investor strengthens ownership position at Nordea

Christer Gardell's firm Cevian increases its holdings in the Nordic bank and is closing in on Blackrock's position as the second largest shareholder. With SEK 12bn (EUR 1.18bn) coming in from a recent sale, Cevian will have "great opportunities for new investments," according to Gardell.
