Scandal at Exxon leads to exclusion by Velliv, but another chance from Danica

Two Danish pension companies have reacted very differently after Greenpeace activists captured footage of an Exxon lobbyist bragging over shady methods.

Danica Penion has proved to be a much more forgiving investor than Velliv, after Exxon Mobil has become embroiled in a scandal. Velliv is divesting all shares, while Danica is giving the oil company another chance.

Greenpeace activists went undercover as headhunters to speak to Exxon lobbyist Keith McCoy, and captured him describing the shady tactics used to obstruct President Joe Biden's climate efforts on video – made worse by the fact that the company officially supports the president.
