The two most important principles when investing in equities are that one should invest in companies that other investors are not interested in and believe academic research about which long-term small caps perform better than others, says Mika Heikkilä, Head of Equities at Aktia and portfolio manager of Taaleri's Mikro Markka Finnish small cap equity fund.
