Tomas Franzén, the former chief investment strategist at Andra AP-fonden (AP2) in Sweden, has been appointed to the board of directors at Luxembourg-based Quintet Private Bank.

Franzén served as AP2’s chief investment strategist for 15 years, stepping down four years ago to start his own advisory firm in Lisbon. Within the realm of Franzen Advisory, he currently serves as senior advisor to index provider Foxberry and a senior investment advisor at Venus Management Company.

"Franzén brings to our firm four decades of experience in asset management, finance and economics, as well as family office advisory. He provides special insight into the Nordic market and a world of strategic ideas," Quintet Private Bank said in a statement.

Quintet has recently also hired a team lead for the Swedish market, as reported by AMWatch. Johan Karlsson joined from J.P. Morgan to be based in Luxembourg and that hire was a part of the private bank's growth plans for the Nordic region.

Last year a Copenhagen office was opened, which AMWatch also reported at the time.
