Norwegian quant shop hires pensions CIO to take on Swedish market

In June, NorQuant launched a long-only equity fund to accompany its multi-asset flagship product. The Norwegian quant manager now wants to establish itself in Sweden and has hired a pension fund CIO with academic heritage as country lead.

Oslo-based NorQuant has hired Erik Lidén as managing director for its Swedish operations as a part the quant investment manager's plans to establish itself in the country.

Lidén comes from a position as chief investment officer at Volvo Cars Pension Management, and he and will start at NorQuant in December, according to a statement.
