Sweden's AP2 buffer fund has hired Erik Kleväng Callert as its new Chief Investment Officer (CIO).
Kleväng Callert is currently CIO and Sustainability Manager at PRI Pensionsgaranti where he started working in June.
He has previously been CIO at both Nordea Life & Pensions and SPP Pension & Insurance and is currently a board member at the Institutional Investor Group on Climate Change (IIGCC).
Kleväng Callert will join AP2 in spring 2022 and succeed Hans Fahlin, who announced in October that he would leave the buffer fund in February for personal reasons, after 11 years at AP2.
"I look forward to working with Erik. With his combination of leadership skills, broad expertise and experience in asset management and sustainability, he will strongly contribute to the continuing development of AP2 together with the rest of the team at the fund," says Eva Halvarsson, CEO of AP2, in a statement.
At the end of June 2021, AP2 managed assets totaling SEK 421.2bn (EUR 40.8bn).
