Alecta reports record pension product returns after cost and portfolio changes

Sweden’s largest pension fund reported record returns for its defined contribution product and double-digit returns for its defined benefit offering in 2021. A broader investment strategy has also contributed to the figures.

Alecta ­ Sweden’s largest pension fund and the fifth-largest occupational pension provider in Europe ­ has achieved a 24.1 percent annual return for its defined contribution (DC) product Alecta Optimal Pension. It also reports a 15.2 percent return for the defined benefit (DB) solution.
