Finnish equities considered risky after Russian invasion of Ukraine - SEB boss says Sweden is in same boat

Although Finland is located between Russia and Sweden, Swedes increasingly feel they are in the same geopolitical position as Finns as neither country is a NATO member. ”You could say the risk is similar for us as it is for you,” says SEB’s chief equity strategist Esbjörn Lundevall in Finnish media Kauppalehti.

International investors have been reducing their exposure to Finnish stock market since Russia’s attack on Ukraine, reports Kauppalehti. Investors are concerned as Finland is a neighboring country to Russia, trades with it more than many other countries do and is not a NATO country, the financial daily writes.
