Skandia outlines parts of EUR 4bn green investment plan

The life insurer and pension company has promised to invest at least EUR 4bn in green transition assets before 2030. Although what the billions will be spent on remains to be seen, Skandia’s Head of Sustainability, Helena Hagberg, is clear on which asset classes will be essential to the pledge.

In October 2021, Skandia Liv, one of Sweden’s largest life insurance and pension companies, stated its ambition to invest at least SEK 40bn (EUR 4bn) in assets that will help the climate transition by 2030.
