Golden days for investors in Danish private equity fund

VIA equity has generated top returns, especially for pension fund ATP, which was the sole investor in its first two funds. Managing Partner Benjamin Kramarz thinks the firm’s growing list of investors can expect the same from its third fund.

Denmark’s largest pension fund, ATP, generated notably strong returns from its investment in VIA equity’s second fund more than ten years ago. With its investment of hundreds of millions of kroner, ATP was the largest investor in the Danish and Northern European private equity fund ­ and for many years, the only investor.
