Norwegian fund distributors report income drop after regulation change

Changes in returns-based fee regulations have meant that distributors have had lower incomes from their clients, the Norwegian FSA reveals.

Regulation changes concerning distributor access to fees from sources other than their clients have led to significant changes in the pricing of equity funds.

The changes came into force on Jan. 1, 2018, and the Norwegian FSA, Finanstilsynet, has now investigated what effect these changes have had on asset managers, distributors and fund investors.
