Norway's biggest pension fund ready for real estate acquisitions after dry spell

Last year, KLP’s real estate division invested almost NOK 4.5bn (EUR 440m) in real estate, but the pace appears to have slowed down in 2022.

”We are ready to buy more, and we are working on it,” says KLP Eiendom CEO Gunnar Gjørtz to AMWatch’s Norwegian sister media EiendomsWatch.

Last week, KLP released its Q1 results. Although the turmoil on the equity markets dealt a significant blow to the manager, the real estate portfolio cushioned the blow somewhat.
