PFA named lead plaintiff in market misinformation suit against Facebook

Denmark’s largest commercial pension company, PFA, has been chosen to lead a legal suit against tech giant Meta alongside the largest public pension fund for the state of Ohio.

PFA has announced that it is starting legal proceedings against tech giant Meta, which owns Facebook.

The suit will investigate whether Facebook/Meta misled investors from April 29 to October 21, 2021, as a result of an algorithm change that aimed to increase user engagement but led to misinformation and various types of damaging content being spread to an alarming degree.
