Alecta loses international real assets chief

The biggest Nordic pension fund waves goodbye to its head of international real assets who will take on senior role at Heimstaden.

Swedish pension fund Alecta veteran Frans Heijbel will be taking on the role of managing director, Strategy & M&A, at Swedish real estate investment firm Heimstaden, a press release reveals.

He comes to the role from a long tenure at the SEK 1,231bn (EUR 166bn) fund, which makes it the largest pension fund in the Nordics and one of Heimstaden’s long-term investment partners, where he is currently head of International Real Assets.
