Danish state investment fund reports large loss

Entrepreneurs, companies and investors need to prepare for valuations to drop and for some firms maybe not receiving financing, the fund warns.

At the end of the first half of 2022, Danish state investment fund Vækstfonden reported a loss of DKK 641m (EUR 86m). The fund attributed this to turbulence on the financial markets, where an unrealized value adjustment on the fund’s bond holdings made up DKK 382m (EUR 51m) of the loss as a result of increasing rates.
