New NIO team sets first infrastructure vehicle in motion

The Danish manager is live with a fund-of-funds that will be managed by a respected professional recently poached from Nykredit.

Danish asset manager Nordic Investment Opportunities (NIO) has launched its first infrastructure fund and is now in the process of gathering commitments from limited partners across the Nordics and the rest of Europe.

The fund is a fund-of-funds called NIO Global Infrastructure and is the manager’s first foray into the infrastructure space. It is managed by Ulla Agesen, Nykredit’s former head of alternative investments and fund selection, who was hired in June.
