Investors suing Danske Bank think they have stronger case after settlement

Danske Bank has settled a lawsuit with three authorities which accused the bank of misleading investors during the money laundering scandal. Investors involved in a class action civil suit now believe they have a better case - but Danske Bank sees the suits as entirely separate.

On Tuesday, Danske Bank agreed to pay a total settlement of USD 2.6bn to three authorities. However, a number of civil cases launched by dissatisfied investors remain, and the plaintiffs think the settlement has strengthened their position.
