Pension fund slashes value of PE and real estate: "It is only natural in a situation like this"

High exposure to venture funds has prompted Industriens Pension to make significant write-downs in its private equity portfolio. Its CIO now eyes a good deal in direct loans for private equity funds.

Danish pension fund Industriens Pension has written off its extensive private equity portfolio by 9.2% this year, figures from its website reveal.
