Widex fusionerer med kapitalfondsejede Sivantos

EQT-fondene bag Sivantos og ejerfamilierne bag Widex er enige om en fusion af selskaberne, der vil skabe en høreapparatvirksomhed med en samlet omsætning på ca. 1,6 mia. euro. og dermed blive den tredjestørste producent af høreapparater.

Den privatejede, danske høreapparatskoncern Widex og Sivantos, det tidligere Siemens Audiology, der i dag ejes af de svenske EQT-fondene, har indgået en aftale om at fusionere deres høreapparatforretninger. Målet er at blive en af verdens tre førende høreapparatskoncerner med en distributionsplatform i flere end 125 markeder, fremgår det af en pressemeddelelse onsdag morgen.

Widex og Sivantos bliver ligeværdige partnere i en nu samlet høreapparatskoncern, som får en omsætning på omkring 1,6 mia. euro., svarende til 11,92 mia. kr. Transaktionen værdiansætter den fusionerede enhed til mere end 7 mia. euro., svarende til 52,14 mia. kr.
