Erfaringerne efter at have ejet mere end 100 virksomheder har fået Nordic Capital til at fokusere forretningen skarpere. Kapitalfonden vil ikke længere opkøbe virksomheder, hvis udvikling er afhængig af forhold, som den ikke har kontrol over. Og fonden har lært at gribe ind straks, når noget ikke går efter planen, fortæller partner Lars Terney.

Når en kapitalfond sælger en virksomhed videre til en anden kapitalfond frem for til en industriel køber, kan det naturligvis skyldes, at kapitalfondskøberen er bedst egnet til at føre virksomheden ud på en planlagt vækstrejse. Men der kan også være mange andre grunde som for eksempel:
