PFA has divested its shares in Shell

Shell has lowered its ambitions on its 2030 climate target, and PFA’s head of ESG, Rasmus Bessing, believes that the pension fund can achieve more from active ownership in other companies.

PFA has opted to divest its investment in the oil and gas company Shell, writes Danish business daily Børsen. At the beginning of 2024, the Danish pension giant had shares worth DKK 1.2bn (EUR 161m) in Shell. The divestment has taken place in recent weeks.
