Sampension to target greenfield developments after major Copenhagen real estate sale

Over the last two weeks, Bellakvarter A/S, the company behind a larger development in Copenhagen's Ørestad neighborhood, has sold projects worth more than EUR 270m. Sampension holds the majority position in the former, but CIO Henrik Olejasz Larsen says the Danish pension firm is open to investing alone.

Since 2019, Danish pension firm Sampension has help a majority equity position in real estate company Bellakvarter A/S, which owns several projects in Copenhagen's Ørested neighborhood. During the last two weeks, Bellakvarter, of which Akademikerpension owns a 33-percent stake, has divested properties worth more than DKK 2bn (EUR 270m).
