Positive return from AP6 despite strong negative effect from currency hedging

The Swedish AP6 buffer fund, tasked with investing in unlisted assets, would have landed a much better positive return if it hadn’t been for its currency hedging.

Despite challenging financial markets, Sweden’s AP6 buffer fund exited 2022 with a positive return of 1.9%, down from 49.1% in 2021.
