Sweden has low integrity ranking among world's leading pension systems

The four Nordic countries are all ranked in the top-ten of the Mercer CFA Institute index of global pension systems. But Sweden is lagging behind its Nordic peers – and has an integrity issue.

Sweden is ranked ninth among the 47 countries figuring in the most recent version of the annual Mercer CFA Institute Global Pension Index. But as far as the integrity of its pension system is concerned, Sweden appears to have a serious problem.
