Australian real estate investor and manager Cromwell Property Group, which owns a massive portfolio in the Nordics, has hired Pertti Vanhanen to be its Managing Director of Europe, according to the Sydney-listed firm.
For many years, Finnish Vanhanen was Global co-Head of Real Estate at asset manager Aberdeen Standard, but he left his position left in 2019.
"As a member of the Group Leadership Team, Mr Vanhanen will be responsible for Cromwell’s European platform which manages EUR 3.5bn of real estate encompassing 160 assets and 2,300 tenants," writes Cromwell, while also mentioning that it has 17 offices in 11 countries.
The new Managing Director takes over from Mark McLaughlin, who is quitting at the end of March after 20 years, the last four of which he headed the Europe division, according to the statement.
Acting Cromwell CEO Michael Wilde further states:
"We are delighted to have found a successor with the right credentials and experience to leverage the strong foundations Mark has put in place. I’m delighted to welcome Pertti to Cromwell."
