Alternatives cushion negative Q3 returns at Veritas

Listed equities were the weakest performer in Veritas’ portfolio during the first three quarters. The decline of listed equities has persisted, but alternative investments have generated positive returns, says CIO Kari Vatanen.

Finnish pension insurance company Veritas has recorded a negative return of -6.2% for the first three quarters of the year, echoing the results published by its industry peers this week.
