AP3 halved external mandates in 2022

Emerging markets almost disappeared from AP3’s portfolio in 2022. The Swedish buffer fund plans to resume such investments after defining a new model for political risks, its CEO says in the annual report.

The Swedish buffer fund, AP3, delivered its first negative return last year since 2011, as it recorded a dramatic drop from the heights of 2021.
